With World Championship 2020 coming to an end, where the LCK team DAMWON brought home the World Champion Title, now we prepare for 2021.

Teams are already making their changes for Spring Splits and here you can stay up to date with the roster moves on LEC, LCS and LCK.

LEC

2020 Summer Split ended with Rogue, MAD Lions, G2 and Fnatic on the top but only two teams reached the semi-finals in Worlds: Fnatic and G2.

Astralis – The organization signed former coach Bjørn-Vegar “iHansen” Hansen as new team’s assistant coach with new head coach Baltat “AoD” Alin-Ciprian. The team also parted ways with the support player Mitchell “Destiny” Shaw. It’s worth to mention that Astralis ended up in last place in 2020 LEC Summer Split, their worst performance up to date.

Excel Esports – After ending up in 7th place in Summer Split 2020, Alejandro “Mapache” Parejo Martinez, the assistant head coach of Excel, entered free agency.

MAD Lions – The team lost the play-in phase in Worlds and, after the disappointing performance, head Coach Peter “Peter Dun” Dun parted ways with the team.

Misfists - Danny “Dan Dan” Le Comte left the team as top laner.

Fnatic, G2, Rogue, Schalke 04, SK Gaming and Team Vitality didn’t make any announcement about changes for the 2020-2021 offseason.

LCK

With DAMWON winning LCK Summer Splits, the Korean team went over the top and won Worlds Championship as well. DRX and Gen.G reached both the quarter finals but with no luck.

Hanwha Life – The team placed 9th position in the last summer splits, with this, jungler Kang “Haru” Min-seung and top laner Lee “CuVee” Seong-jin departed from the roster. A few days later, mid laner Jeong “Mireu” Jo-bin also left the team.

Sandbox Gaming - Jakob “YamatoCannon” Mebdi entered the team as head Coach for a short split and left to proceed as a free agent.

T1 – After a poor performance in the LCK Summer splits, the team parted ways with the Coach Kim Jeong-soo. In the end of October, the Coach Lim “Comet” Hye-sung and head of strategy and analytics Gary “Tolki” Mialaret parted ways with the team.

Team Dynamics – After finishing in 8th place in the Summer Splits, the team parted ways with mid laner Lee “Kuzan” Seong-hyeok and support Kim “GuGer” Do-yeop. The jungler Kim “Beyond” Kyu-seok has retired from professional scene and joined Team Dynamics Academy as a Coach.

Afreeca Freecs, DAMWON Gaming, DRX, Gen.G, KT Rolster and HyFresh Blade haven’t announced any changes so far.

LCS

Team Li quid, FlyQuest and TSM were the big three playing in Worlds this year. But didn’t go too far, with all of them staying on the group phase.

CLG – With a disappointing performance on the Summer Splits, head Coach Kim “SSONG” Sang-soo parted ways with the team.

Immortals – The team had a really poor split, ending in last place. With this, Assistant Coach Adrien “GotoOne” Picard, top laner sOAZ, AD Carry Altec, support Gate and mid laner Eika parted ways right after the ending of the Summer Splits.

Cloud9 – The team said goodbye to head coach Reapered, top laner Licorice and assistant coach Jung “RapidStar” Min-sung. On the end of October, Riot Games’ Global Contract Database updated with former Cloud9 Academy Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami and the new top laner. After that, the team announced Reignover as the new head coach.

Evil Geniouses – Team parted ways with head coach Heo “Irean” Yeong-cheol.

Dignitas – The organization confirmed the return of Dardoch as jungler for 2021 season. On 28th October, head coach Thomas “Thinkcard” Slotkin parted ways with the team.

Team Liquid – For now the only change in the team was the goodbye to assistant coach Croissaint.

TSM – The legend Bjergsen announced his retirement of the professional scene, starting the 2021 season as the Head Coach of TSM.
